Mike Morgan received his Bachelor of Science degree from Seattle University in 1980. After working as a diagnostic medical ultrasound technologist both in the United States and in Saudi Arabia, received his Juris Doctor from University of Puget Sound School of Law (now Seattle University School of Law) in 1988. Since that time he has prosecuted or defended civil litigation cases in nearly every county in Washington and in the Federal Courts for the Western District of Washington, with a civil litigation practice focusing on real estate, construction, commercial, personal injury and probate and trust litigation. From 1999 to 2005 he worked as a staff litigation attorney, assistant managing attorney and acting managing attorney for the Tacoma Legal Office of Safeco Insurance Company, where he defended insurance related litigation, including cases involving serious injury and death, coverage disputes, construction defects, flooding and landslides, product liability, and professional malpractice.
J. Michael Morgan, PLLC was formed in June 2005, where our focus is on civil litigation (as well as dispute resolution before matters have progressed to litigation) in the areas of real estate, construction, personal injury, insurance disputes, commercial matters and probate and trust litigation. Our mission is to provide an old-fashioned style of cost-effective legal representation and "big picture" legal counseling that involves subtle, yet methodical strategies for achieving success, while emphasizing adherence to the highest ethical standards and community values. Our personal approach is complemented by state-of-the-art information technology and by our highly skilled staff of litigation assistants and paralegals to provide large firm litigation capability and cutting edge trial presentation when required.
